Paul was simply looking for an answer. Can the Obama administration assassinate
Americans in their own country without due process? This is a basic issue of
civil liberties. In filibustering the
nomination of John Brennan to head the Central Intelligence Committee, the
Kentucky Senator took a historic stand for liberty.
The Constitution preserves the
right of all Americans to due process. So
far President Obama has refused to answer if the Bill of Rights still applies
under his new security policy.
The question is simple: do we still have our traditional
rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster bravely
attempted to answer this vital question.
Many Senators, both Republican
and Democrat, joined Sen. Paul. But not nearly enough showed their support.
We can’t let the Obama Administration continue to operate in secrecy. Call your Senator and ask if they support Senator Paul and the Constitution.
