stop farm bill.jpgThe House of Representatives is debating the gigantic corporate handout known as the Farm Bill (Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act of 2013). The Senate has already passed this massive new spending measure. We need to stop the Bill in the House where our strength is the largest.

Congress passes the Farm Bill every cycle without hesitation. Too many Congressmen – even those who claim to believe in free markets – support the measure.

A leftover of the New Deal era, the Farm Bill is a subsidy-packed monstrosity that throws taxpayer money at politically-connected corporate farms. This year's version even contains a new entitlement program called shallow-loss crop insurance.

80% of spending in the Farm Bill is allocated for food stamps – not actual relief for farmers. We need to stop this outdated subsidy program of a bill once and for all.

Call your Congressional Representative and demand they stand for real economic freedom and small business– not the crony Farm Bill.
